Book Collecting is a Journey…
No matter, if started at young age, or begun as an adult, the desire of collecting old books plants the seeds for a life-long search.
The focus may be around an author, a period, a theme, or any other subject of interest.
In the professional trade we differentiate between old and antiquarian, rare and out of print books.
A modern out of print book may be more valuable and expensive, than a book of a hundred years. A modest looking pamphlet might be more precious than a luxuriously leather-bound work.
To estimate and appreciate the value and importance of a printed item, our customers enjoy the rich experience and professional expertise of our firm, established in 1899 and now in its third generation of the same family.
We have been consultants and advisors to private collectors and public institutions for decades
Many important international collections in our specialty fields Holy Land, Judaica, Hebraica, German literature, the arts and rare books of all periods, have been established or enriched by purchases from our company.
Located in the heart of Tel- Aviv, our two stores at 36 & 42 King George Street cater to the beginning and experienced book collector alike. Book lovers from all over Israel and the world consider our shops as next to paradise, a heaven for Hebrew and international books of all periods.
We consider our work as conserving cultural heritage and transferring it between generations. Buying important private libraries in Israel and abroad enables us to continuously supply our customers and secure these books to be enjoyed in the future.
We are the only members in Israel of the International Antiquarian Bookseller’s Association and Verband deutscher Antiquare and obliged to their binding code of ethics.
